Do’s

  • For prefab purposes: Focus using this construction plywood in prefabricated buildings or homes like walls, roofs, floors, partitions, and ceilings.
  • Edge sealing: Ensure you are sealing the edges of the construction plywood; this will increase the durability and reduce the level of dampness.
  • Keep things dry: Consider storing this fire-retardant plywood in a dry location, this will prevent the plywood from warping or damage before installation.
  • Install in well-ventilated areas: Define further the guidelines on using this construction plywood in ventilated parts of the housing to maintain the strength and prolong its lifespan.
  • Appropriate for use in areas where the fire risk is too high: These types of fireproof plywoods are used in architecture for indoors where they can withstand greater fire resistance, preventing from burning houses or modular equivalents.

Don'ts

  • Maintain sealed edges: Never install fire-retardant plywood without sealing the edges, as this can allow moisture infiltration and shorten life.
  • Do not expose to naked flame: Do not let the surface of this fire-retardant plywood come into contact with naked flame; this will supersede other properties.
  • Avoid improper storage: Do not stack panels on damp or irregular surfaces; this will cause warping or surface defects on fire-retardant plywood.
  • Do not cut without PPE: Cutting or shaping of the panels without PPE should be avoided; extra care must be used in handling such operations to avoid any accidental injuries and safety hazards.
  • Avoid using poor-quality fasteners: Installing with inferior screws or fittings will impair the structural performance of fire-retardant plywood.
